Smart Trapping Trial

We Are Super Excited To Announce Our Trapping Trial

Through a very generous personal donation from Mandy Adler We are now fully funded for a multiple phase trial set for the Northern Territory in 2025/26.

Cheers Mandy, Our gratitude is beyond words!

The trial will be primarily focused on feral cats with a component of feral pig trapping.

We will be documenting the process to create a science based paper calculating the savings compared to conventional trapping.

On completion of the trial we aim to go live with a full capability that is backed by science. We will engage with feral animal controllers and partner with ranger groups and other organisations to build solutions aimed at saving our endangered species.

Vertebrate Pest Solutions

Steve from VPS brings a wealth of knowledge to the project, with years of experience trapping and removing feral animals in the Northern Territory and interstate.

We are proud to partner with VPS on this project as Steve not only brings an invaluable skill set, he is also passionate about our native species and demands a high ethical standard when conducting feral animal control.

February 2026 Update

After some productive discussions with NT Parks and Wildlife in 2025 relating to land access for our trial. We were unfortunately met with some administrative and regulatory procedural delays, followed by the impending wet season and have had to delay our Northern Territory trial until 2026.

Currently we are wrapping up some long range equipment trials in Victoria. Testing the capabilities of a completely off grid trapping network.

In addition to the Victorian trial we are preparing for some active trapping trials in the Northern Territory in early to mid 2026, once the wet season subsides.

Stay tuned for more updates.
